Through a recommendation by the University of Minnesota Duluth’s, Office of Sustainability, I was commissioned by the Regional Stormwater Protection Team to create a sticker. Through collaboration with 10 scientists that made up the Stormwater Protection Team, I created a sticker that successfully informed everyone how to mindfully salt their driveways and sidewalks in order to keep down the salinity of our lakes and streams, affected by the runoff from melting ice. In addition, I created an in-depth infographic as supporting content to the sticker. The infographic educates, in detail, how to properly salt a driveway or walkway appropriately and what tools to use. This design is available for the Regional Stormwater Protection Team to use as they deem appropriate.
